Town of Roxbury, NY
The Town of Roxbury is known for its historic preservation and heritage tourism efforts. In 2004, the hamlet of Roxbury was designated a “Preserve America Community” by the National Park Service, Department of Interior, and Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. Deposit Historical Society
The Deposit Historical Society is located in the village of Deposit, NY, just off route 17 in the Catskill Mountains. Our Museum is open to the public from 2 -- 4 PM on Thursdays and Sundays from Memorial Day weekend until mid-October. Admission is free. Museum staff are available year round on Tuesdays from 9:30 AM until Noon.

The Bovina Historical Society maintains the Carriage House Museum on main street in Bovina Center - open to the public for only select events. Bovina's town historian Ray LaFever hosts this blog to keep folks up to date on his research.
Andes Society for History and Culture
The Andes Society for History and Culture was offically chartered in 2000. It is housed in the historic Hunting Tavern building, the oldest structure in the village from the pre Anti - Rent War era. building while being sensitive to its original uses yet meeting the needs of a busy and growing organization. The ASHC's 30 year history in the community speaks of the literally hundreds of events, programs, concerts, lectures, demonstrations, scholarships, plays, dinners, tours, Community Day and other activities to which the organization has either sponsored, funded or contributed. All operations are organized and carried out by volunteers.
